Saturday, July 6^th Ride Around Pomona

Ride Around Pomona is a casual bicycle ride through the streets and neighborhoods of Pomona, the ride is family friendly and FREE! It happens every first Saturday of the month.

The ride is a casual pace, cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to join us. Ride and chat, meet new people, see new neighborhoods, get some exercise and enjoy the morning!
Helmets are required for cyclists under 18.

Meet at Shaun Diamond Plaza (Thomas Plaza), downtown Pomona at 8:30am.

Saturday, July 13^th FREE Bike Class: Street Skills (Pomona)

Do you want to be more comfortable and confident when cycling on city roads? Have you taken our Bike 2 – Rules of the Road class and want to practice what you learned in a real-world setting? The Bike 3 – Street Skills Class, presented by Metro, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition, and Day One Pomona is a free 2.5-hour class for adults and teens to practice safe riding with a group of beginning cyclists. You’ll learn cycling etiquette, practice riding in a real-world setting, and make pit stops at local establishments to get refreshments.

Who Should Sign-Up: If you are comfortable getting on a bike and want to gain more experience bicycling on city streets in a group setting. This ride will apply practical skills and critical thinking in real-world settings and will build off skills learned in the Bike 1 and Bike 2 level classes.

Biking on City Streets: Rules of the Road / Navigating Common Hazards / Group Etiquette / Sharing Paths and Trails

All participants will get a free helmet and a set of bike lights.

Monday, July 8^th Committee meeting

PVBC committee meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every other month (odd numbered months) from 6:30-7:30pm we’ll be meeting at Metro Ale House in Pomona.
