On behalf of Clean & Green Pomona (well actually, as a proxy for Kyle Brown, Treasurer of C&G Pomona), I’m pleased to invite you to attend a free community workshop we are hosting in partnership with the Strategic Growth Council and California Air Resources Board on the many incentive and rebate programs they offer individuals, organizations, and municipalities to promote clean air transportation. Millions of dollars are available from the California Air Resources Board’s Low Carbon Transportation Investments programs. Many of these programs are aimed at cities just like Pomona. But learning about what incentives are available, and how to apply for them can be a confusing experience.
These programs may directly benefit community members. In addition, the City may benefit from these programs through their recent decision to form a CCA. A number of CCAs are using these program to encourage the installation of electric vehicle charging stations on city and private property. In addition they will be discussing programs to establish car-sharing programs, which may benefit those with limited transportation options as well as neighborhoods where parking has been an issue.
This free event is scheduled for Thursday, April 11th, from 3:00 – 5:30 pm at First Christian Church, 1751 N. Park Ave., Pomona CA 91768. Spanish translation provided for those who need it.
Topics to be covered include:
- Scrap and replace vehicle incentive programs
- Clean vehicle rebates and assistance
- Car-sharing programs
- Electric charging station programs
- Other clean air opportunities
RSVP is requested, but not required to attend this free event. You can RSVP via our Eventbrite site at:
