L.A. BikeFest at the Pomona Fairgrounds, Oct. 20th & 21st

This upcoming weekend is the L.A. Bike Fest at the Pomona Valley Fairgrounds. This two-day event, brought to you by So Cal Cross and Planet Bike, includes everything you could ask for in one weekend: Cyclocross racing, obstacle courses, bike polo, food trucks and a Velo Swap Meet. There will be a beer garden for those 21 and up and kid-friendly activities for the younger ones including pumpkin carving and a costume contest.

Attendees can participate in the Spooky Cross cyclocross race, an intense 3.5 km course that weaves and winds its way through grass, dirt and pavement. The course meanders through the race track and includes a cross over-under bridge, BMX style dirt whoops, steps and burm.  If you’re interested in riding the course, you can find more information or register here. Los Angeles Bike Polo will be also be there, hosting the 2012 Westside Invite Bike Polo Tournament, For more information or to register click here.

This weekend at the Pomona Fairgrounds!

Doors open both days at 9am at Gate 17 (see map). There is no entrance fee to attend. Want to share or r.s.v.p. on Facebook?

PVBC played a special role, partnering with local bike shops and enthusiasts for the Velo Swap meet. So come enjoy this chance to meet local bike geeks and support your local San Gabriel Valley bike economy. We’ve got guests from InCycle to the Ontario Wheelhouse (a local bike collective). BikeFest is sure to have something for everyone. Interested in vendor opportunities or getting involved with the Velo Swap Meet? It’s not too late; contact pvbikes@gmail.com for more details.

See you there!
